Want to Do Better- Decision Making

December 27, 2015 It's 3:39 am and I cannot sleep. Thinking too much about life and the choices I've made. Some good some not so good. The price you pay for pursuing the permission of others. Allowing people, random people-even family members who I deem as random people allowed to make decisions for you that are not in your best interests. As people, we give others too much access, absolutely too much access to the decisions that must be made in our life. Too much access to suggestive thinking, when the decision is entirely yours to make. I ask myself, what will be different in the next few days? What will 2016 bring? Daily we live as if we control life's clock. In fact, the one who's yet to unveil the mystery of life is the one who has complete control. He sets the time table of life, the beginning, and the end. The thought alone should be disturbing because ultimately, people do not control the very thing they give others to access. Be careful of who you acce

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas Everyone!   December 25, 2015 One of my favorite Holidays of the Year, Christmas. Lights, Lights, Lights, all of the Lights. Christmas Trees. I love Christmas, a reason to give, whether its hugs to gifts. Most importantly, remember Christ our Lord Jesus, the very reason for choosing to have a better life. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. -Lavi

New Book & More !

December 21, 2015 So, I'm reading this new book I have by Cora Jakes-Coleman on Faithing It . An awesome read by the way. Within the first few pages, I was hooked. It's a read that I needed, no matter the internal and external chaos that has engulfed my life.  I find my self in a situation that makes me the angriest person in my world. Like most Americans in our country, I sincerely am not enjoying my current employment. It's easy for people to advise with their unwanted opinions even though the decision concerning me does not affect them in any way. Years before, I had a knack for listening to people convey their problems and sounding off their frustration in their daily life. At the time, I was able to really soak it in, be the listening ear, give advice and Godly advice at that, now, the time has come, where I no longer feel concern about humanity and the concerns thereof. I will have to ask God to help me with that because I did not always feel this way. I find m
What I find most intriguing is the ability to read and relax my thoughts in reading. I read this article and it talks about the "Golden Rule" written by a therapist from the 'NY' here's the link if you're interested, http://www.goodtherapy.org/Brooklyn-Therapy.htm. I believe, I do what most people do, never think to treat myself like I would treat a bestie. You somehow ignore the thought and forget that you too are human. There are things in life that is overwhelming and most people have no one to talk with and talk about these things without limits. It's difficult. Reading this article allowed me to revisit my thoughts and sit with them to understand the new phase, I'm currently experiencing. I believe it is important to take care of yourself in the same way you would take care of others. Life happens, things that are beyond your control and learning to deal with each phase in your life will help and allow you to mature as an individual. I have fo
Hi Guys, So I have been reading this book on money management. It is my desire to become debt-free in the next few years or at least cut my debt in half. I decided to learn as much as I can about debt-free-living. So far, I'm in chapter 8, a section on credit scores and credit reports of the book. Taking the time to understand debt basics and having gone through multiple sessions of debt counseling, I have learned a lot. By learning and applying these simple tools, I have been free of credit card debt for five years.  I had major credit card issues and one of my projects within the last five years was to eliminate unnecessary credit card use. In which I have done. My motto is "if I can't pay cash for it, I will not buy it." I HATE owing debt, I simply hate it, and it does not justify the means to owe the world and barely live. Seriously, the "struggle is REAL." So, I decided to take on my debt as a personal project and see if the end results would
Good Morning Folks, The Presidential Election is on its way with the GOP Republican camp. The Democratic Party has settled into their choice for the next Democratic president-elect and it's Senora Hilliary Clinton. For years we have watched men run this country into the ground with all their ideologies and power plays, it's time for a new direction. The GOP candidates can speak all they want, it's hands down Hilliary Clinton for me. I would like to see the First Female President after Obama's reign. To all the voters out there choose wisely, know your candidates for this is not the time to slack on knowledge, but it is a time to become informed . America we are smart people- intellectual people and have more degrees to cover the variances of the earth and we need to use that same intelligence to select the "Right" candidate. Your selection of the next President determines your future, so I request that every American dig in and become knowledgeable ab
Sunday Morning, I awoke from a nightmare with living and dead people in it. I know eating late at night is not a good thing, but I got hungry and craved a sandwich. I drank two cups of tea (sweet tea) and laid out. Until this morning, when my dream awoke me with an uneasiness that I did not like. I am waiting to watch T.D. Jakes via the internet for my morning worship. These sessions have kept me going post-surgery. Last night, I watched Sheryl Brady, a pastor. Pastor Brady's messages are inspirational. Anyhoo, here's what I know. If you are unable to attend church on a regular basis and you want to feel as if you are still sustaining your worship life. Streamline a few of the well-known bishops, pastors, or inspirational leaders that will keep you uplifted. Another thing to do is purchase devotional material, it will keep you inspired. Research to see if there are free devotionals online. Sometimes you may find some good ones and you will feel as if you have not missed a
